Unplug Your Kids-Stone
This was our first week participating in the Unplug Your Kids Project (http://www.unplugyourkids.com/). This weeks theme was stone. I wanted to make stepping stones with the boys, but that costs way too much money so I decided to go on a nature walk and let them pick up stones/rocks and bring them home to paint and put in our flower bed. We have a huge green belt behind our house so there's plenty of rocks to be found. They had a blast.
Of course what boy can resist throwing rocks in a creek
We gave Reece a few small rocks to play with while we painted. He really enjoyed dropping them and the sounds they made on his highchair tray.
Wyatt chose his favorite color to paint his rock
Seth chose Red
Next weeks theme is glass. I think my dad used to make stained glass so I'm hoping he still has some of that around that the boys can look at and then we'll make some of our own with crayons and waxed paper.

Hi from a fellow Clark (maiden name)! Nice painted rocks...we'll be trying that too!
When my son was two and a half he used to beg my husband to "go frow rocks in the wahgger." (Throw rocks in the water)
There's just something about rocks and water and little boys . . .
Looks like they had fun!
