Wyatt and Seth love their little brother and they always want to be near him.
I'm a crafting, cooking, homeschooling mom that tries to keep life with 4 crazy little boys under control. Did I just say under control? Right!

Reece had some great nurses that took care of him while he was NICU. The two nurses in the pictures were the main ones for most of the time that he was there. They were fantastic. Nurse Kathy (in the bottom picture) is a wonderful Christian, and it was great to be able to talk with her about how we were praying for Reece. The other nurse is Nurse Darlene; she was the charge nurse and was very sweet.

We're stuck inside on day #3 of the ice storm. The boys are bored stiff. Here they are watching one of their favorite movies, "Toy Story 2," and they look like they'd rather be doing anything else. We're all going a little stir crazy and really want the ice to melt so that we can get out of the house.

Well, we have been hit by some nasty cold weather. It has been sleeting most of the morning and since the roads are iced over Jerad got to stay home from work. Wyatt loves the ice and the way the grass crunches under his feet. He was very upset to have to come inside. Seth has a bad cough and runny nose, so he could only stay out for a couple of minutes while Jerad held him to keep him nice and warm.

The church opened the second floor of the new building and there is a slide that goes between the escalators from the second floor to the first floor. On Sunday Wyatt wanted to go down it, but there was a huge line and he got a little overwhelmed by all the people looking at him. So, I promised him that we would go the next day and that Uncle John would let him go down the slide. He woke up talking about it, so I took he and Seth to the church to play on the slide. However, when we got there men were working on the escalators because one had broken the night before. So we couldn't use the slide. Wyatt was disappointed, but Uncle John let them play in the Noah's Ark playcourt for a while and that made them pretty happy.

Jerad found a website that had directions on how to make play dough out of flour, water, salt, oil, and cream of tartar. We used all the colors of food coloring and Wyatt liked Yellow the best. So, having all of that in our pantry we decided to give it a try. It turned out great. It is literally just like the stuff you buy in the store. It was really easy and only took about 10 minutes. Wyatt watched me make it and then I let both of the boys play with it. Seth just kept trying to eat it, but since it was made out of basic food ingredients I wasn't worried about that. Wyatt liked it and made a couple of "Larry Boys." I think they'll will like it a lot more when they are a little older and I also think it will be a good way to teach some math skills using the measuring of the ingredients when they are much older. The best part was Wyatt yelling "I love Play Dough" while I was making it (I don't think he's ever played with it before) and then when I gave it to him he said, "Thanks Mom." It was super sweet.
