At the Church

The church had this great little Thomas the Train table set up in the lobby, so the boys got to play with that while we waited to get started.
Getting Ready for the Wedding
Rise and Shine
On the morning of the wedding, Wyatt and Reece woke up before everyone else. So, we went and got McDonald's breakfast for everyone while they were all still sleeping.
More Rehearsal PicturesSeth slept until the very end of the rehearsal.
I'm not sure what Jerad is telling Wyatt, but it looks pretty serious.
Wedding Rehearsal

Reece slept through the entire rehearsal.
Look at my pretty pillow! There were no rings on the pillow (thank goodness).
StarbucksWe had a lot of Starbuck's coffee on our trip. In this picture Seth is taking the last sip of my Dulce De Leche Latte.
And More Pictures from Uncle Joel and Aunt Christy's
Uncle Kris (Janaye's fiance) did a great job entertaining the boys while we were there.

More Pictures from Uncle Joel and Aunt Christy's

I think this picture says "Mom, stop taking my picture or else!"
Playing at Uncle Joel and Aunt Christy's HouseJoel and Christy borrowed this little seat from someone so that Reece could have something to sit in. He loved it and I think we need to get him one.

Pacific Science CenterSince Wyatt was sleeping while we had lunch in the car we let him ride around in the stoller and eat his sandwich. In this picture you can still see the remnants of peanut butter.

Becoming Thrifty

When I was younger and would go on vacation with my parents I never understood why my mom always wanted us to make lunches. My thought was that we were on vacation so we should eat out. I never realized how expensive that would have been. We enjoyed several homemade lunches on our trip. Here are some pictures in the parking lot before we went to the Pacific Science Center. Wyatt had fallen asleep on the way there so we just let him sleep while we ate.

And Still More Zoo Pictures

Little Monkeys-The boys enjoyed climbing with the bronze monkeys. Thank you Edan for the Baby Cover, it worked great when I needed to feed Reece and when it started to rain and I needed to cover his head.

They also enjoyed sticking their heads through the hole to look like a butterfly.

Wednesday, Woodland Park Zoo

There was big group of rocks here where you could stand and look at the giraffes. There was a sign that said that it was dedicated to Jimmy Hendrix.
Seattle, WA Vacation

Well, we just got back from an awesome trip to Seattle. We went for Jerad's brother's wedding. Joel and Christy were married on Saturday and Jerad was the Bestman and Wyatt was the Ring Bearer.
We had a blast.
Here are a lot of pictures from the trip and some info as to what we did.

Tuesday we left for Seattle. Our flight left at 6:45 am, so we had to leave our house at 4am. I left the boys in their matching Space Ship PJs (thanks, Aunt Julie) and they looked super cute. It was their very first flight and I fully intended to get pictures, but it didn't happen. With three kids, two carseats, one stroller, two diaper bags, one toy bag, one purse, one laptop bag, and one camera bag we were totally overwhelmed and exhausted once we actually got on the plane. So, we just got everyone buckled in and tried to keep everyone quiet for the flight. We had a stop in Phoenix, but didn't have to change planes. We arrived in Seattle at 10:30 am, got our rental van and then went to lunch with Joel and Janaye (Jerad's sister). Then we went back to Joel's new house and just rested for a while (we were all exhausted).

Wednesday we went to the Woodland Park Zoo. The Zoo was wonderful. They have villages set up that are typical for the area where the animals were from. In the African area (with giraffes, zebra and antelope) there was a typical African School Room, Grain Shed, and Hut. In the Asian area (with tigers, elephants and monkeys) there were several water wells and "spirit houses" (places where they keep idols). It misted a little while we were there, but it wasn't much and didn't hurt our trip at all. Wyatt and Seth loved all the elephants, but especially the orangutans. There was one orangutan that had a blanket that he was playing with and then he took an orange and rolled it up in the blanket and sucked all the juice out and then unrolled it and ate the orange. It was very interesting to watch. Wednesday night Joel and Christy had a bar-b-que at their home for their family and friends. It was fun to meet everyone.

Thursday we went to the Pacific Science Center. It is right by the Space Needle in downtown Seattle. Wyatt and Seth enjoyed playing in the little kids area and playing with the water display. Wyatt also really liked the butterfly house. He did not like the insect exhibit. They had big statues of insects that were a little too scary for him. There was a big dinosaur exhibit as well. Wyatt liked some of that, but some of it was kind of scary too.

On Friday we just hung out at the house in the morning and then Wyatt and Jerad ran errands with Joel and went to get their tuxes (there were a few issues and they didn't actually get Jerad's until Saturday). Seth and Reece and I stayed at the house for the afternoon. Then Friday night we had the wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. It was a lot of fun and the food was great. Jerad and I also celebrated our 5 year Anniversary on Friday. I can't believe it's been 5 years and that we have 3 boys. Time sure does fly!!

Saturday was the big wedding day. Unfortunately, Seth decided to go completely bananas and I didn't get to see any of the wedding and spent most of the time in car with he and Reece. I heard that was beautiful and I'm looking forward to seeing pictures. I know Wyatt and Jerad both looked very handsome in their tuxes. Wyatt and Seth didn't get naps before the wedding so I took them back to Joel's house when the wedding was over and Jerad went on to the reception. I was sorry that I missed, but I heard it was very nice.

Sunday we got up and did a few things around the house, took the tuxes back and then drove to Vancouver. I didn't know anything about Vancouver and was really surprised at how big a city it is. We had a bad dinner experience (email me if you're interested in knowing details), but the hotel was really nice and I'd love to go sometime when we have more time and know what to do. While we were driving around we saw some beautiful homes. We went to the tourist center where all the cruise ships come in and it looked like there's a lot of really fun stuff to do there.

On Monday we we took a ferry to Vancouver Island. It was an hour and a half ride from Tsawassen to Shwarz Bay and then we drove to Butchart Gardens. Butchart Gardens is absolutely beautiful. I've never seen flowers that big before. I took a lot of pictures of the flowers, but I didn't get any with any of us in them so you can't really get a perspective on how big they are. They were all at least two or three times the normal size of the flowers we have here. After we left the Gardens we drove down to Victoria and around the town. It was very pretty and I hope we can go back and spend more time there. Then we got back on a ferry rode another hour and half back to Canada and then drove back to Seattle.

We came home Tuesday morning. All of the boys did fairly well on the plane ride to Seattle, but for Wyatt the plane ride home was a disaster. I'm not sure if he was overly tired or just decided that he had had enough, but it was pretty miserable.

I'm glad we're home, but I miss the cool weather of Seattle. I don't think it ever got over 65 degrees while we were there. Coming home to 96 degree weather was a bummer.

Enjoy the pictures. I've asked Janaye for the pictures that she and Jerad's mom took, so when I get those I will post more.
